We believe that the youth are a vital part of our church family. This is a very important and formative stage in your life. You are trying to decide what direction your life will be taking – and whether to include God in these plans. We want to be with you through this ever-changing journey so that you will not be alone. Because we love and care about you, we have several avenues and activities designed to help you along the way:

Sabbath School
Each Sabbath morning from 9:45 – 11 a.m. young people of your age gather to seek God, and struggle with the practical and difficult questions that you are dealing with. There are classes for middle school and high school students in the WJA gym, and college/ post-college youth in the Youth Room at church.

Youth Church
– Once a month we plan a worship service that is just for the youth. We meet in the gym from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. We cover some of the tough topics you are dealing with, including sex and purity, college and life-planning, growing deeper with God, making faith real, and more!

 
Tuesday Night Youth Study
Each Tuesday night from 7 - 8:30 p.m., our public school youth gather together for a mid-week spiritual boost. Whether you are seeking to know God’s will for your life, or wishing you could be closer to God, this study will encourage you. We gather in several different homes and study and pray together. We are developing deeper Christian friendships, and enjoying fellowship together after our study and prayer time. Please call Pastor Keith for directions or a ride (302) 354-9050.
 
 
Youth Socials
– Get-togethers include ice-skating, roller-skating, bowling, basketball, game nights. Usually on the Sabbath we have youth church, and we gather for a time of socializing and fun!
 
Ministry Opportunities
– One of our main ministry experiences is our Homeless Ministry on the 4th Sabbath of each month! We make sandwiches and toiletry bags and carpool down to the railroad tracks in Wilmington to serve the homeless community. It is a life-changing ministry as we pray with them and minister to their needs! In addition, an exciting event that everyone looks forward to is our annual mission trip each summer! Hearts are changed on these trips. As we work for others and see their needs, we feel our own need of God and often baptisms result. God is so good.
