Welcome to West Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church! We are located in a quiet area of West Wilmington and here at the church, love is the golden chain that binds us together. We are a multicultural congregation of people from all walks of life. We seek to grow through our diversity to understand God’s truth and uphold God’s call “that they all may be one.” If you are new here, you will become part of a family that looks to uplift Christ, seek to grow and grow to serve the Almighty and the people of God. We would love to come alongside you anywhere in your journey.
We invite you to join us each Sabbath for worship service. 9:00 am: First service 10:00 am: Sabbath School (there’s a class for every age group) 11:30 am: Second service. If unable to attend in-person, please join us for a live streaming of the service via our YouTube channel where we hope you’ll be blessed by the message and feel refreshed after being in God’s presence.

Elvis Mogoi is a native of Kenya, and fell in love with studying and sharing the Bible in fifth grade. He served as a youth leader and children’s instructor early in life and his ministry involved conducting seminars, speaking engagements at youth forums and workshops. He led several campaigns against drug abuse and creating awareness for HIV/AIDS. In the United States, he served as a program coordinator for minority male health at Lincoln University from 2007 to 2009, an assignment that focused on promoting healthy lifestyle among minority males as well as bridging the generation gap between the more seasoned men and the upcoming boys through mentoring.

He joined the pastoral ministry in 2010 and has been serving for the past ten years in Wilmington, Delaware. He married the love of his life Carolyn Mosomi in 2011 and they partner together in ministry. He is currently serving the West Wilmington and Life in Christ congregations. He has received training in Political Science from Lincoln University, PA and Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University, MI. His purpose in life is knowing more about God and making Him known to others. His hope in ministry is not found in his talents but in God who is the author and finisher of His faith. His goal is to support in the molding of a community that exhibits love for one another and is prepared to spend eternity with God.

Pastor Ricardo “Rick” Cala, Jr. is honored to serve as associate Pastor for West Wilmington and LINC as well as Lead Pastor in Hope Community church. His Wife Taimara Cala and Son Ricardo “Ricky” Cala III Love the Lord and come from a long family that instilled this desire to serve from an early age. Born to a pastoral family, who has served the church for many years lead Rick to choose studies in theology for undergrad at Washington Adventist University and Master’s in Divinity from Andrews University. He has worked in an array of churches and his greatest desire is to aid churches into growing healthy environments that foster the Love of Christ.
